ChangeDay

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 3, 2026

The short version: ChangeDay stores your data in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate any servers and never see your data. Sync between your devices and any people you share with happens through Apple's CloudKit using your own Apple ID.

1. Information We Collect

ChangeDay does not collect any personal information on its own servers. We do not operate any servers or APIs. The data you enter, including the items you track, change history, and reminder settings, is stored in your iCloud account (private database) and locally on your device.

2. iCloud and CloudKit Sharing

ChangeDay uses Apple's CloudKit to:

iCloud and CloudKit are services provided by Apple. Apple's privacy practices govern the storage and transmission of CloudKit data. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

If you have not signed into iCloud, ChangeDay still functions and stores data locally on your device. No sync occurs until iCloud becomes available.

3. Notifications

ChangeDay may request permission to send local notifications as reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server operated by us.

4. Analytics and Tracking

ChangeDay does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising, or tracking. We do not use cookies, device fingerprinting, or any other tracking technology.

5. Third-Party Services

ChangeDay does not use any third-party services beyond Apple's iCloud and CloudKit. There are no analytics SDKs, error-reporting SDKs, advertising networks, or other third parties embedded in the app.

If you have opted in to "Share With App Developers" in your iOS Privacy & Security settings, Apple may share anonymized crash and performance reports with us through Apple's standard developer tools (Xcode Organizer and TestFlight). Apple's privacy practices govern that data. We do not receive any personally identifiable information through these reports.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in two places:

If you delete the app, the local data is removed. iCloud data persists in your iCloud account until you delete it from iCloud settings.

7. Sharing With Another Person

When you share a tracker with another person, you initiate that share through Apple's standard CloudKit sharing UI. The recipient must accept the share with their own Apple ID. After they accept:

You can stop sharing at any time from the app's Settings screen. We do not track who has accepted shared data and we cannot view shared data.

8. Children's Privacy

ChangeDay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Your Rights

Since all data is stored in your iCloud account and on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You can:
