Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

PetChronicle does not collect any personal information. All data you enter into the app, including pet profiles, medications, vaccines, vet visits, weight entries, health observations, and photos, is stored exclusively on your device using a local database.

We do not operate any servers, APIs, or cloud services. Your data never leaves your device.

2. Photos

Photos you attach to pet records, medications, vaccines, and vet visits are saved locally in the app's private storage on your device. Photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or accessible to anyone other than you.

The app requests camera and photo library permissions only when you choose to attach a photo to a record.

3. Notifications

PetChronicle may request permission to send local notifications for medication dose reminders, vaccine due dates, refill alerts, and vet follow-up reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.

4. Analytics and Tracking

PetChronicle does not include any analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs that collect user data. We do not use cookies, device fingerprinting, or any other tracking technology.

5. In-App Purchases

PetChronicle offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock premium features. This purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information.

6. Third-Party Services

PetChronicle uses the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat: used to manage in-app purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt from Apple. No personal information is shared. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Sentry: used for crash reporting and error diagnostics. Sentry receives anonymous crash data (stack traces, device model, OS version, app version) only when the app crashes or encounters an error. No personal information, record content, or photos are shared. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.

7. Data Storage and Security

All app data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. Data is protected by your device's built-in security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.

8. Children's Privacy

PetChronicle is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You can:

• View all your data within the app
• Edit or delete any record
• Export your data as a PDF report or JSON backup
• Delete all data by uninstalling the app

10. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
