HouseChronicle stores all data locally on your device. To create a backup, open Settings and tap "Backup". This generates a shareable JSON file containing every record. You can save it to Files, email it to yourself, or share it via AirDrop.
To restore from a backup on the same or a new device, tap Settings, then "Restore from Backup", and select your backup file.

The free tier allows 5 records total. When you reach the limit, the paywall appears and offers a one-time $8.99 purchase to unlock unlimited records, photo attachments, reminders, and full-history exports. There is no subscription.
HouseChronicle uses standard iOS local notifications. If reminders are not appearing, check that notifications are enabled for HouseChronicle in the iOS Settings app under Notifications. Also verify the reminder time is set correctly on the record.
